Disturbing Footage Reveals Moment Law Enforcement Get Knifed in Surprise Attack

Both Sergeants Moments Before the Aggressor Received Electric Shock

One senior officer that leaped to the aid of a fellow officer who was ambushed by a knife attacker received the Monarch's Honor for Courage.

Sgt Tim Ansell fought with twenty-seven-year-old Jacob Brown following he pressed a weapon to the neck of his colleague Sergeant Marc Foster.

Brown began the violence as the policemen and their colleague, PC Marcus Wolstencroft, were speaking to a driver subsequent to a vehicle incident in that location in summer 2023.

Brown knifed and cut both Sergeant Ansell and Sergeant Foster before Police Constable Wolstencroft stopped him with a stun gun.

"Officer stabbed," the officer was heard to say over his communication device.

Bodyworn and dashcam footage made public by the force revealed Brown, wearing in black with a hood up, rush to Sgt Foster from behind with a knife extended.

He struck the officer who stumbled and went down to the street, before Sergeant Ansell stepped in and struggled to restrain him to the pavement even though being repeatedly struck with the blade.

PC Wolstencroft pulled his stun gun and waited for a open target, concluding the struggle to an finish.

Sergeant Ansell stated audibly: "Can I get something on my throat here, I got knifed in the neck."

Sgt Ansell suffered two lacerations to his throat and further injuries to his arms and body, while Sergeant Foster suffered cut injuries.

Authorities said Sergeant Foster employed his hands to control his partner's bleeding before medical personnel arrived.

This most recent award follows subsequent to the three officers were granted organizational Valor Recognitions in late 2023 and the police federation award from the local union branch in April 2024.

They were also awarded a Regional Bravery Award in mid-2024.

"The actions of each policeman eventually protected each other and ensured no members of the public experienced any wounds."

Brown was sentenced to an indefinite hospital order in spring 2024, according to officials.
